Several days ago, I got to do some work, on a house, for a new customer. The wife was home, and wow, was she tall, and attractive!! I got to talking about being tall, and how tough it has been, to find any tall single gals, around my age range. Sure enough, she mentioned that her husband, is shorter, by about 4 inches. What's new? Same old story- tall lady, with shorter man. There is nothing wrong with being a shorter man, for sure. But, yesterday, at a thrift store, I spotted something extremely rare!! In line just ahead of me, a super tall man, with a very tall lady!! I had to check, to see if I was imagining things! Am I dreaming? Is this bizarro world? I had to ask if thy met on a tall dating site. NO! They met at a nursing home, by accident. I told them, that I have not met a tall gal, yet, still hoping. I was a bit encouraged by them, and he, had poor posture, from being about seven feet, having to stoop, so often. I knoe aall about that, having cracked my skull, so many times, on low objects, over the decades. I learned, that it still may be possible, to meet a tall single woman, in your area, though , not very common. Not entirely impossible, but possible. Of course, personality, things in common, kindred spirits, is most important, not just being tall.

One thing is for sure. There is a lot of distrust, and suppressed anger, and overly high expectations, among singles. As an aging bachelor,52, who started dating late in life, and a member of the working poor, I have something to say to you ladies. A lot of men, were not taught social skills, when they were younger. I blame a lot of this on our sick society, music, mvoies, tv, etc. I know a lot of single men, who have been "ground to powder", run through the mill, broken, rejected, misunderstood, branded losers. It is harder now, for boys, and men, to know their right roles, than ever. Modern society, confuses them. And, it is also confusing, and decieving girls, and ladies, too! Some of us men, were rejected by our fathers, have been born, with two strikes against us. Some of us, have had to soul-search, and work, and pray, to make up, for the "years the locusts, have taken". Some have had to "climb mountains", to get up, to some social normality, ...

I blame a lot of this on our sick society, music, mvoies, tv, etc. I know a lot of single men, who have been "ground to powder", run through the mill, broken, rejected, misunderstood, branded losers. It is harder now, for boys, and men, to know their right roles, than ever. Modern society, confuses them. And, it is also confusing, and decieving girls, and ladies, too! Some of us men, were rejected by our fathers, have been born, with two strikes against us. Some of us, have had to soul-search, and work, and pray, to make up, for the "years the locusts, have taken". Some have had to "climb mountains", to get up, to some social normality, and, what you ladies may think, is a loser, may be a man, who has started, with huge social deficits, poverty, and pain, to get, to where he is!! We singles, tend to be very harsh, on each other, especially, the ladies, judging fellows. Admit it. A little compassion, would go a long way , and so would a lot of honesty, on the part of guys, and gals. We tend to put on a false self, instead of our true self. I can understand the gals being timid, and lacking trust, because too many guys, have been false selves. Sometimes, gals, are, also. Let us take off the superman, and superwoman costumes, be real, transparent, and try some mercy, and compassion. There is tooo much bickering, and finger pointing on here, and to me, it is a wonder, any one meets! Compassion, and honesty, beats haughtiness, and phoneyness.

He lamented the fact, that fewer, and fewer girls, and women, are wearing skirs, or dresses, recently. The Britney Spears look, of looking like a slut, in hiohugger jeans, and top, cut above the navel, dominates. I find it despicable, and immodest, and unattractive. A lady author, wrote a book, several years ago, called, "A Return To Modesty". I myself, don't see that much old fashioned modesty, around. The female, that I rent from, is 47, and has not worn a dress, or skirt, since about 10 yr old! I know of a number of women, who only wear pants, even at church, or special occasions. I am not against women's rights, and equality, but, there are differences, and, I find it sad, to see so many gals, who will not wear a dress, or skirt. I don't say, that all gals should wear ankle length skirts, and dresses! But, as Dennis Prager, semmed to say, it robs them of some of their beauty, if they never wear dresses, or skirts. As a man, I prefer gals, to look more feminine, and wear dresses, and skirts, part of the time. I think it makes society healthier, less depressing. One thing is for sure- if men started wearing dresses, and skirts, en masse, they would be branded sick, perverted, and, I am not advocated such a thing. But, women have dressed just like men, for decades, and cut off their hair, and nothing is said! Ladies, none of you may be boycotting dresses, and skirts, but, there are many, who will not wear them. That is a right. But I don't know one guy, who does not appreciate gals looking nice, in dresses, or skirts, short, or long. I also lament, "the death of the skirt".

They would be utterly dumbfounded! First, they would be shocked at our computers,microwaves, cell phones, I pods, jets, cars, trucks, TV's, and highways. Space shuttles, and unmanned missions, medical technology, and the speed of our times. They would laso likely be troubled by, the lack of time, the mega stress level, the noisiness of today,s world. They would be appalled at the loud, intolerable "music" coming out of car stereos, the awful amount of pornography, the crime, feeling of lack of safety. The divorce rate, and broden home, and remarriage, would trouble them. I think they would be appalled, at the singles plight, so many cannot find mates, and do so much, to find one!! I was too shy, and afraid of girls, then, and, with all the strife, in my family, had no confidence, then! I read, and watch hisorical documentaries, abd see, a FAR different America, today. Mother Teresa, visiting America, commented, that Americans are the most lonely people! Maybe we have too many choices. Maybe we can't see the forest for the trees. Maybe our great materialism, and success, has BLINDED us, from the true values. Maybe we are, mostly, a nation of spoiled brats, that modernity, has removed our souls from us. Maybe, the Amish, and earlier generations, had something deep, that our generations, have lost.
